Yoga for Kids

Unlike a generation ago, today’s children often lead over scheduled and busy lives. It is well known that yoga for adults is wonderfully calming and relaxing. But being able to teaching our children early on how, to relax and breathe well is a lifelong gift we can give to them.

In addition to showing children a way to unwind, Yoga also helps them improve their stability, strength, flexibility and coordination. This helps to heighten body confidence and has shown to be very beneficial to those children who have found other physical pursuits difficult.
 

Classes

Our classes for children include singing and chanting which helps with diaphragmatic breathing and concentration, storytelling through movement (for younger children), simple breathing practices and relaxation techniques. Classes run for 45 minutes and can be slotted into a school timetable at breaktimes or within the curriculum timetable.

Our classes are designed to be age specific for:
-- Pre-School
-- Reception, Year 1
-- Years 2 & 3
-- Years 4 to 6
-- Years 7 to 9
